Dietary Aid
The aide for Dietary Services is responsible for assisting in the service of meals for patients, visitors, and staff, and assists in various processes related to the preparation and delivery of meals. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.
Responsibilities for Dietary Aid
Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets, according to the planned menu and as directed. Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures.
Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition. Completes general cleaning, maintenance and sanitation of work area.
Assists with keeping Dietary department stocked with essential patient food items.
Operates dish machine according to established procedures
Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
Excellent communication skills with co-workers, clients, and other individuals.
Qualifications for Dietary Aid
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
1 year experience in healthcare food services or related experience preferred.
Food Handlers Permit/Serve Safe preferred but not required
Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by Dietary Director
