The Respiratory Department provides cardiopulmonary services that are prescribed by a physician for the assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment, management, and monitoring of patients with abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function. Our highly trained Respiratory Therapists use planning and patient assessments to facilitate high-quality patient care.
Our Services
Cardiopulmonary care is an allied health specialty concerned with the treatment, management, control, and care of a person’s breathing. Respiratory therapists provide relief to those who have difficulty breathing or cannot breathe on their own due to impaired or non-functioning lungs. Typical patients of respiratory therapists may include patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis, lung cancer, stroke, drowning accidents, heart attacks, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, or sleep apnea.
