ED Registered Nurse - PRN (As Needed)
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will work under the general supervision of the Emergency Room Director. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standard of nursing practice.
Responsibilities for ED Registered Nurse
Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality and efficient patient care according to established standards. Ensures that professional and skilled nursing care has been provided to all patients.
Contributes to the appropriate development, maintenance, and update of individualized patient plan of care.
Identifies patient and family learning needs. Teaches patients and families using effective teaching methods and documents accordingly.
Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
Qualifications for ED Registered Nurse
Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program is required.
Current state Registered Nurses license required
One (1) years’ experience in Emergency Services clinical role or related experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CNO, ED Director, or Shift Supervisor
