Facilities Director

The Facilities Director will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. They will implement and administer a program to maintain hospital buildings, grounds, and equipment; and to procure or generate all utilities and their distribution systems. Manages the maintenance of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and utility systems while ensuring project, cost, and safety objectives are met.

Responsibilities for Facilities Director

  • Inspect all departments and extensions of SCMC for damages.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, and utility systems.  

  • Addresses issues to reduce safety and security risks in the environment of care.

  • Secures contractor bids for repairs on hospital and on-campus facilities as needed. 

  • Provides oversight of contracted work on campus. 

  • Maintains log of maintenance requests and actions taken to address.  Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications

Qualifications for Facilities Director

  • High School Diploma Required

  • 3-5+ years' experience in a maintenance supervisory role or related experience

  • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations

    Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO.
