Dietary Director

The Dietary Director will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. Primary responsibility is to plan, organize and administer all phases of the organization's nutrition services.  Includes menu planning, food preparation and service, budget estimates, administrative record keeping and therapeutic concerns. Responsible for sustaining the highest quality food service and nutritional care for customers consisting of patients, guests, and the employees of SCMC.

Responsibilities for Dietary Director

  • Extensive knowledge of food hospitality and nutritional services.

  • Supervise food production, ensure standardized recipes and production sheets, check food for flavor, temperature, and appearance on a regular basis.

  • Establish procedures for purchasing food and maintaining monthly inventory controls.

  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all dietary services functions.

  • Perform various dietary services duties in instances of staff shortages.

Qualifications for Dietary Director

  • High School Diploma Required

  • 3-5+ years' experience in dietary manager role or related experience

  • Certified Dietary Manager required

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

    Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO.
