Director of Information Technology

The Director of Information Technology will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. Uses technical skills to generate, modify, and maintain computer application software in a production environment. They will work with various department directors and the end users to develop and maintain the non-clinical content. Will work with the end users to understand non-clinical workflow and optimal use of EMR data for patient outcomes.

Responsibilities for IT Director

  • Creates and analyzes workflows within the EMR

  • Isolates and solves problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure

  • Supports quality measures and reporting requirements

  • Creation of new user accounts, trains non-clinical staff on new features and functionality within the EMR

  • Supervision of the IT Field Tech

Qualifications for IT Director

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent years’ experience required.

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in IT related position preferably in a comparable Critical Access Hospital or organization preferred.

  • Ability to function as part of a team and the ability to solve problems swiftly and efficiently

  • Must be able to work effectively with others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration

  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
