Laboratory Director (Full-Time)
The Laboratory Director will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Nursing Officer directing and overseeing all daily Laboratory operations. Ensure that the Laboratory provides the highest quality care in conjunction with effective and responsive services to its patients. The director will be responsible for the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and integration of the Department in association with the Laboratory Medical Director.
Responsibilities for Laboratory Director
Maintain inventories and manage ordering of chemical reagents/supplies required for essential lab functions.
Identify alternative products in the event of supply chain issues or other inventory management obstacles (such as difficulty disposing of an item in our facility)
Develop and implement approved departmental policies, procedures, systems, and standards. Ensures compliance therewith.
Ensure proper maintenance and care of all clinical laboratory equipment.
Ensure Laboratory compliance with Medicare and other third-party payer regulations.
Perform clinical laboratory functions as the situation dictates.
Qualifications for Laboratory Director
Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science required.
Current technologist’s certification with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent regulatory agency.
3-5+ years' experience in supervisory postion or related experience
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO or CNO
