Quality and Compliance Nurse

The Quality and Compliance Nurse will work under the general supervision of the CEO. This position is responsible for compliance, quality, and policy development in accordance with SCMC policies. The Quality and Compliance Nurse will focus on the compliance of federal and state health care programs, and rules & regulations of regulatory agencies. The Quality and Compliance Nurse will reflect the mission statement of Sevier County Medical Center and the communities that we serve.

Responsibilities for the Quality and Compliance Nurse

  • Investigate and act in conjunction with the CEO, on matters related to compliance including coordination of internal investigations and any resulting corrective action with all departments, contracted vendors, etc.

  • Reports to the Board of Governors on all compliance issues

  • Develop, implement, and oversee quality improvement to ensure delivery of the highest quality patient care, optimal patient flow, provider productivity and continuity of care.

  • Develop a framework for quality measurement and improvement activities for various departments. Summarize finding in the Quality Improvement (QI) Plan.

  • Participate in long range planning including the evaluation of patient satisfaction and current services and programs.

  • Assist with coordination of QI meetings.

Qualifications for the Quality and Compliance Nurse

  • Current licensure to practice in Arkansas as a Registered Nurse (RN), bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent years of experience in nursing.

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in quality and compliance or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with Senior Management and all other staff.
