Rehab Services Director

The Rehab Services Director will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. The director is responsible for the staffing and day – to – day management and administration of the Rehab department. They will supervise the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy staff. They must establish, meet, and continuously monitor the goals and objectives of the department while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of SCMC.

Responsibilities for Rehab Services Director

  • Under direction of the CEO, responsible for day-to-day operations of rehab services and activities, including supervision of staff, tasks, and workflow.

  • Provides education, direction, and mentorship of the team’s function, purpose, and goals.

  • Ability to perform an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested.

  • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.

  • Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention Standards.

  • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Qualifications for Rehab Services Director

  • Current state Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, or Occupational Therapist license required.

  • 3-5+ years' experience in rehab services role or related experience

  • Ability to lead team members and the ability to solve problems swiftly

  • Current BLS certification preferred

    Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO
