Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst
The Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst will work under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer. Develops clinical decision support and patient risk identifiers within the SCMC EHR System. They will work with various department directors and the end users to develop and maintain the clinical content and clinical quality metrics reports. Will work with end users to understand clinical workflow and optimal use of EHR data for patient outcomes.
Responsibilities for Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst
Create and analyze workflows within the Electronic Medical Record.
Development of clinical policies and procedures with guidance from the CNO.
Train clinical staff on new features and documentation within the Electronic Medical Record.
Troubleshooting Electronic Medical Record malfunctions and creating tickets.
Develop and prepare training tools, user manuals, and standard operating procedures of the Electronic Medical Record.
Train medical staff on how to use computer systems accurately in order for all data to be captured.
Strong collaboration skills with all interdisciplinary departments.
Qualifications for Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Healthcare Administration or equivalent preferred
3-5+ years' experience in clinical RN role or related experience
Current RN License or compact state license
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO or CNO
