Materials Management Director (Full-Time)

The Materials Manager will work under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. Directing and overseeing the inventory control, shipping, receiving, and materials storage within the Sevier County Medical Center materials department. Researching best prices, oversight of the distribution of supplies to ancillary departments, and negotiation of contracts.

Responsibilities for Materials Management Director

  • Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements

  • Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery

  • Establish procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory

  • Interface with department managers in order to guarantee proper inventory levels.

  • Purchase supplies and materials according to specified inventory levels.

  • Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions

Qualifications for Materials Management Director

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or equivalent preferred

  • 3-5+ years' experience in logistics role or related experience

  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

    Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by CEO.
